The Badgers will host another potential transfer along with UMass' Matt Cross in Madison on Thursday. Central Arkansas guard Camren Hunter, who has narrowed down his decision to only a few schools, will be on campus for an official visit.

Hunter did not play last season due to a preseason foot injury, but in 2022-2023 he averaged 16.7 points per game, 4.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists. He was named to the All-ASUN team and was the team's leading scorer.

Hunter also contributed 1.5 steals per game as a defender so that, combined with his point guard prowess, would make him a good Chucky Hepburn replacement. The Badgers currently have freshman Daniel Freitag slated to take over the point guard duties, but bringing in some veteran experience could do him and the team a lot of good.

With now two different potential transfers in for a visit this week there's certainly room for some optimism after a brutal transfer portal window so far. We could hear one way or the other in just a few days time and a commitment would be music to Badger fans' ears.
