. 486. Big Ten power rankings. . . . . . 11.

The Spartans have been a team to watch in the past, but in 2023 they went just 4-8 and 2-7 in the Big Ten. They were not the Spartans of old and while they might improve in 2024, they probably will not be as competitive as they have been in the past.

Michigan State lost 18 players in the spring window, the most of any Big Ten school in the month of April. However, they did bring in four, which doesn't balance out the losses, but it is better than nothing.

The Spartans are most likely a middle-of-the-pack team this year, they can be competitive, but most likely won't be competing for the Big Ten title this season.
