According to Dillon Graff of Badger Notes, McCook Community College transfer Noah Boyed is set to take a visit with the Badgers.

Boyed is a 7-foot JUCO transfer who had previously committed to Baylor. He also has interest from other schools including Creighton, Ohio State, Minnesota and more. This past season the forward averaged 11 points and 8.5 rebounds per game on 57% shooting.

Boyed would be a nice addition to the Badgers with his defense. The big man had 1.5 blocks per game in only 21 minutes during the 2023-2024 season. Nolan Winter is currently slotted as the backup to Steven Crowl. If the Badgers are able to land Boyed, there may be some interesting practice battles for the reserve five spot.

Wisconsin is currently at capacity for scholarship players, so some fancy footwork will need to be done in order to fit Boyed on the roster.

Despite a slow start, Greg Gard and his staff have done a nice job in the portal assembling talent. With three new additions and a potential fourth on campus for a visit, the roster is starting to take shape.
