Assistant coach Lance Randall, who Greg Gard and the Badgers hired just a few weeks ago, is already hot on the recruiting trail. According to Evan Flood of 247 Sports, Randall has been in touch with a potential 2025 recruit.

Colorado Prep's Josiah Sanders is a three-star recruit and 6'5" point guard. The lefty intends to make a decision by the end of the summer and now it seems Wisconsin is throwing their hat into the ring. Sanders made waves this spring after an impressive showing in AAU ball and now has several offers, including the hometown team Colorado Buffs.

It's nice to see Randall already getting inviolved with recruiting and it couldn't come at a better time. The Badgers currently only have one commitment for 2025 -- De Pere's Zach Kinziger. Adding a strong, tall point guard is something the Badgers haven't really had in recent seasons and could be an intriguing fit.

After parting ways with Assistant Dean Oliver, Greg Gard hired Division II coach Randall, and it could already be paying dividends. If Randall can help land the top recruit in Colorado and the number 32 overall point guard in the class, he'll certainly get off on the right foot with Badger fans.
