A muffed punt gave the Badgers life after a slow start on offense. While Wisconsin hasn't forced many turnovers on defense this year, special teams has continued to come up big with another fumble recovery this season.

Quarterback Braedyn Locke had a rough start, throwing two first half interceptions and looking pretty uncomfortable in the pocket. He had a few big strikes though, including a 52-yard pass to Vinny Anthony and a 69-yarder to Trech Kekahuna later on. He really settled in during the second half, at one point completing 12 straight passes, and the offense looked in rhythm for one of the first times this season.

Wide receiver Will Pauling suffered a lower body injury in the first half on a pass that was intercepted, but he later returned. Bryson Green also left with injury and did not return. But Trech Kekahuna stepped in a showed why fans have been begging to see him on the field. He finished with six catches for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns. He has to get more looks as the season progresses.

The Badgers defense was bend but don't break as the red zone defense stepped up to only allow two first half field goals. The Purdue offense never showed up for the second half.

Tawee Walker nabbed three rushing scores on the day, but his long rush was only 17 yards. He didn't have an amazing game against a poor Purdue defense and will hopefully build on his effort against Rutgers. Walker won't lose his job to freshman Darrion Dupree yet, but he'll need to show he can be the bell cow.

Backup quarterback Mabrey Mettauer got in towards the end of the game in his first action of the year. It was our first look at potentially the future at quarterback for the Badgers depending on how Locke looks the rest of the season. He wasn't able to showcase much, but there's a lot of hype surrounding the young player.

Overall, this game was the one Badger fans had been wanting see all season -- a complete win. Offense, defense and special teams came together and dominated a team they should have dominated, something that wasn't the case earlier on in the season. The Badgers probably aren't a threat to the Big Ten crown, but it was good to see a team win after four weeks of concern.
