Our final depth chart prediction was pretty close to what Wisconsin just released, but there are a few interesting differences. Let's take a look at the unofficial depth chart ahead of the game against Western Michigan.

At receiver, Bryson Green will start, but opposite him the depth chart interestingly lists Vinny Anthony 'OR' CJ Williams. New Boston College transfer Joseph Griffin Jr. appears to have work still to do behind Chris Brooks Jr. and Quincy Burroughs.

Chez Mellusi over Tawee Walker might be short-lived as many Badger outlets are reporting Walker has looked just as good and, at times, even better than Mellusi.

At tight end the chart lists Riley Nowakowski ahead of Tucker Ashcraft, but in all honesty I think these two are pretty much interchangeable.

The offensive line never really had any question marks and the starters here were never in doubt.

The injury to defensive lineman James Thompson Jr., which is now being reported as season-ending, has really shaken thing up along the front. Surprisingly, transfer Brandon Lane is not listed on the two-deep depth chart despite having a very strong camp, but the group figures to rotate guys quite a bit anyway.

At linebacker, we find another 'OR' with John Pius and Leon Lowerey, two transfers in their first season with the Badgers.

The secondary looks as expected beyond maybe Preston Zachman over Kamo'i Latu, but really nothing too surprising.

We'll see how things change after Friday night against Western Michigan when fans and coaches will their first look at the 2024 Badgers!
