Top Specialist in the Country Commits to Badgers
The Badgers have secured the commitment of one of the top specialist in the country as Erik Schmidt announces he's staying in state.

The No. 1 punter and No. 8 kicker in the country chose Wisconsin over Michigan and others. Schmidt, a Milwaukee native, took an official visit to Madison earlier this month and it was clear Luke Fickell and staff made him a priority.
According to Jamie Kohl, Director of Kohl's Kicking, Schmidt already has the leg talent that ranks in the top 10-15% of college football and has a kickoff that is NFL worthy.
He is now the 21st commit of the 2025 class, one that is currently ranked 13th in the country according to 247 Sports' composite rankings.
