Drew Allar took over the official starting position last season and while his stats look good, for being a five-star recruit, the expectations were much higher. Allar had 2,631 passing yards and 25 touchdowns versus just two interceptions for the Nittany Lions, but everyone wanted more.
However, Penn State has a new offensive coordinator this year in Andy Kotelnicki who can bring a new look to the offense. The offensive weapons are there, they just need a good scheme to run now. There is no reason Allar shouldn't take a step forward in 2024, but nothing is guaranteed.
