On Thursday, 2026 high school interior offensive lineman Ethan Sather announced he will be at Camp Randall Stadium for the Wisconsin Badgers’ first game against Western Michigan. Although Sather does not possess any scholarship offers or recruiting stars, according to 247Sports, he has received interest from Iowa State, Kansas State, and Big Ten rival Minnesota, among other programs.
Sather is currently listed at 6’ 3.5’’ and 270 pounds and plays at Eden Prairie (MN) High School. While watching Sather at the right guard position, he shows his tremendous strength to overpower defensive lineman at the point of attack, causing them to get pancaked. Even more impressive is that he’s doing this at 270 pounds as a high school sophomore. With more experience and a more polished technique, the Division I offers will come flying in.
This will be Ethan Sather’s second visit to watch Wisconsin Badgers football this year. Earlier in May, Sather posted on X about his time in Madison, where he observed spring football practice and met Badgers offensive line coach AJ Blazek.
A glance at Sather’s profile on X shows college football camp invites from other Division I programs, such as Indiana, Kansas, and Ole Miss. This indicates that Sather is a rising prospect for the class of 2026 and will surely gather attention as an upper-level student at Eden Prairie. It is unclear where the Badgers stand in Sather’s recruitment, but something is building between Wisconsin and Ethan Sather.
Wisconsin would be tremendous fit for Sather, given the Badgers’ history of developing offensive linemen. If that relationship leads to a scholarship and later a commitment, Sather will join Pickerington (OH) quarterback Jarin Mock in the Wisconsin Badgers’ recruiting class of 2026.
