The Badgers enter week three with a 2-0 record on paper. The eye-test though, tells another story. They are a team that struggled against Western Michigan, a team who Ohio State promptly beat 56-0 the following week, and failed to dominate South Dakota, an FCS program. Now Wisconsin will face one of their biggest challenges of the year in Alabama in a game that's expected to be fairly lob-sided in the Tide's favor. So how do our writers see the game going?

Cameron (2-0)

Andrew (2-0)

Ericka (2-0)

Trevor (2-0)

Alabama 42-17

Alabama 30-14

Alabama 30-21

Alabama 34-14

No one is buying into any upset hype, as all of us have Alabama by multiple scores. The fourth-ranked Crimson Tide just seem too powerful for how the Badgers have been playing. There is a path to winning, but a lot of things would need to go right. A fast start and a vintage Tyler Van Dyke performance could put Wisconsin in a position to win, but we've yet to see either of those things thus far.

If Wisconsin can pull off the upset, they'll almost certainly jump up into the top-25 rankings. If the Badgers lose, they'll have a bye to regroup and then face another tough test in USC on the road. After a subjectively slow start, the Badgers need to hit their stride this week to beat Alabama and then to survive the gauntlet that October and November holds.
