Predicting the Rest of Wisconsin Football's Games

Thanks to a three-game winning streak, the Badgers sit at a promising 5-2 heading into week nine. The team looks completely different from the one we watched in August and September, and has outscored their opponents 117-16 over the last three contests. But with a very tough schedule remaining that includes the number one team in the country, how do we see Wisconsin finishing the season?

Penn State

Up next is Penn State who is currently ranked number three in the AP Top 25. They're probably a little overrated and needed overtime to win their last game, but the Nittany Lions will be tough to beat. They boast a top 10 offense and defense and will really prove if the Badgers have turned a corner or not. Wisconsin falls in this one though, 17-33.

Record: 5-3

At Iowa

Wisconsin will look to regain some magic at Iowa on November 2. The Hawkeyes are 3-1 in Big Ten play so far this season and their infamous defense has only allowed more than 20 points just once. In what is sure to be a gritty, low scoring game, the Badgers come out on top 17-13.

Record: 6-3

Oregon

It will be all hands on deck when current number one Oregon comes to town. Let's face it -- it would be a historic upset if Wisconsin pulled out the win here. Luke Fickell is 0-4 against ranked opponents since coming to Wisconsin and, more than likely, he'll be 0-6 after Penn State and then the Ducks. The Badgers lose a close game 23-28.

Record: 6-4

At Nebraska

Nebraska was riding high at 5-1 until they ran into the Hoosiers of Indiana last weekend. They got blown out 56-7 and now seem like a team searching for answers. Wisconsin is on a ten game win streak against the Cornhuskers and I see it extending to 11. Badgers win 29-20.

Record: 7-4

Minnesota

Minnesota is a sneaky good team that looks better than their 4-3 record suggests. The Gophers' three losses are by a combined 22 points. Barring a few game-winning field goals against them, they're seconds away from a 6-1 record. Wisconsin ends the regular season on a sour note, losing 22-25.

Record: 7-5
