The Badgers volleyball team has had a wild few days. Losing to No. 1 Kentucky in the Final Four and then losing five different players to the transfer portal after that, finally adding the top middle blocker in the portal, Jaela Auguste. There will be more additions down the road, and this article will reveal where exactly the Badgers need to look in the portal.
After Auguste, it's mostly depth pieces, but as we learned this season, those pieces are vital to the success of a season.

Where do the Wisconsin Badgers still need to fill holes for next year?
As you can see from the early look roster, there are a lot of outside hitters. Kelly Sheffield carried 17 players last season, so you can expect him to look to add a few more. Where? The list above seems to make it clear. At least one more libero, or maybe two. Don't be surprised to see an extra right side or middle blocker, either.
Kymora Scott is listed as able to play both middle blocker and right side, but the way Sheffield described her in the announcement of her signing makes it seem as if he sees her as a right side first, with the potential to play middle blocker.
The right side is interesting as Grace Egan played it a lot this season, even though she's more naturally on the other side. Could she keep playing right side, some behind, or in rotation with Grace Lopez? Or will she slide back over to her more natural position?
There will be a few more additions, and this roster outlook helps see where. The need is mostly in-depth as the team is pretty loaded with starters and players fighting for roles.
