Robin Pingeton may have just struck gold in the transfer portal with the addition of former 5-star recruit Addie Deal (according to her personal Instagram). The 6'0 combo guard is one of the top players in the portal and was a top-10 player in the recruiting class last year. Deal was committed to Iowa last season and averaged 15.5 minutes per game, showing plenty of why she was one of the best recruits.
She's now going to be a Badger after she submitted her name to the portal last season, and she's going to play for Robin Pingeton. Deal will be a featured part of the game plan next season as a sophomore.

Deal played high school basketball at Mater Dei in Santa Ana, California. She was the No. 1 player in the state of California her senior year, according to 24/7, and a top-10 national recruit. She was part of the McDonald's All-American game and had all the top programs chasing her down.
Recruiting analyst, Brandon Clay, said this about her while she was in high school, "Deal can shoot the 3-pointer, the midrange, and attack the rim as well. The most impressive part of Deal's growth in my opinion has been her commitment to adding strength to her frame."
Last season for the Hawkeyes, she averaged 5.1 points, 1.6 assists, and 1.2 rebounds per game. She has a burst to her game and can find scoring when called upon. She even had a 20-point game last season against Ohio State. This is an important pickup for the Badgers and Robin Pingeton, and arguably the most exciting player to come to the Badgers since Serah Williams was here.
That being said, she still has work to do to settle into the college game and find her consistency and rhythm. She's a star in the making and will actually need to step into it in her sophomore year.
Pingeton has now added a forward to replace Gift Uchenna and a combo guard to replace Destiny Howell. Both additions have higher ceilings, and Wisconsin women's basketball is starting to soar.
