Selection Sunday morning final seed projection for Wisconsin is no longer surprising

No surprises this morning, but maybe this evening?

Wisconsin fans have been preparing for at least a week or two for the Badgers to play their way into the No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament. According to all the latest bracketologists (I couldn't find a recent one that didn't have Wisconsin in there), the Badgers are going to be a No. 5 seed barring a shocking turn of the Selection Committee.

Joe Lunardi had them as a No. 6 up until Wisconsin knocked off Illinois in the Big Ten Tournament, and other teams that are projected around the Badgers floundered or soared. Teams like Vanderbilt are playing their way into a potential No. 2 seed (pending the SEC Championship). The Commodores were a rumored No. 5 seed for a while. Tennessee, another team thought to be a No. 5 seed, has played its way into the No. 6 seed.

Lunardi has Wisconsin in Portland taking on High Point and playing in the West-San Jose region.

Bracketologists all agree on Wisconsin's No. 5 seed for the NCAA Tournament

USA Today dropped a Selection Sunday morning update, and they have also moved Wisconsin into the No. 5 seed. The paper has Alabama sliding into the No. 5 seed from the No. 4, creating a bit of chaos in the No. 5 seed category. According to USA Today, the Badgers are projected to go to Tampa and play Yale in the West-San Jose region.

There's not a bracketologist who doesn't see Wisconsin as the No. 5 seed. AI Bracketology's latest update agrees, T3 Bracketology, JBR, and any of the other pundits all see No. 5 for Wisconsin. The two big questions for the Badgers will be: Can they break the curse? As they've only gone out of the No. 5 seed in March Madness one time in five tries. Read more about that here.

The second question(s) is, if No. 5 seed is locked up, where and who will they play? Tune into the Selection Show later today at 5pm CT on CBS.
