What's in the past needs to be forgotten for the Wisconsin Badgers football team. Coming off a rough 5-7 season, plenty of people were calling for Luke Fickell to be fired, but he's going to be back next campaign ready to prove his doubters wrong.
While plenty of playmakers have left via the NCAA transfer portal, there are some key returners for this team too. The long list includes standout wide receiver Vinny Anthony, who is already chomping at the bit to get himself ready for 2025.
In a new video posted by the official Wisconsin Twitter account, Anthony discussed his favorite play from 2024, but he also touched base on his offseason plans AND his biggest goals for next year. It's safe to say he's ready to make a splash for the Badgers:
Wisconsin WR Vinny Anthony is looking forward to the 2025 campaign
"In 2025, I'm most looking forward to the big games that we have next season. I saw that our season is like set now. I just see like that streak of really good opportunities, big teams, and I really just want to take advantage of that and hopefully have some big games and win all those."
Anthony could have taken the easy way out and left Madison like so many of his now former teammates. However, he focused on helping this program get back to where it needs to be. We don't have to tell you that the Fickell experiment hasn't gone to plan yet.
Despite that, the hope is Wisconsin can post some memorable wins in '25 and ignite some excitement back in the program. Quarterbacks Billy Edwards Jr. and Danny O'Neil will battle it out for the QB1 job, but the good news for both of them is that Anthony is fired up to step up for this offense regardless of who's throwing him the pigskin.
