The 3 Badgers most likely to be drafted in 2026

The 2025 NFL Draft didn't see a Badger taken until the seventh round, when both Hunter Wohler and Jack Nelson were taken. It was one of the more disappointing drafts for Wisconsin in recent memory, and hopefully the 2026 class of future pros fairs better next April. While anything can happen this season for the Badgers, let's take a look at the three most likely players to hear their name called in the spring.

Ricardo Hallman - Cornerback

Hallman had a breakout year in 2023, logging a Big Ten leading seven interceptions. He passed on the draft to return to campus for the 2024 season, but didn't see the same results. He failed to record an interception, and the defense as a whole just had a down year overall. Now, he'll look to regain some of that 2023 form. Hallman's size and athleticism could be limiting factors in how high he can go though, with his ceiling probably as a second round pick and his floor as a day three selection.

Riley Mahlman - Offensive Tackle

Mahlman probably could have been drafted this year, but he gave Badger fans some welcome news and opted to return for another year. Much like Hallman, he dominated in 2023, but experienced some setbacks in 2024 and was bullied a bit by the conference's elite edge talent. Consistency will be the key for Mahlman, who at 6-foot-8 and 300-pounds, already has ideal NFL size for the position. Mahlman has all the tools to be a first round pick if he can put it all together.

Joe Brunner - Offensive Guard

Brunner was a first year starter in 2024 and he made the most of it at guard. Interestingly though, with injuries at tackle, he may move to the outside in 2025. Regardless of the position he plays, Brunner should only get better, and could be a very sought after lineman in the 2026 draft. With ideal size and toughness, Brunner is another offensive lineman who could get drafted high if he can tighten up his game in 2025.
