As the Wisconsin Badgers head to Bloomington to take on the No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers this weekend, there may be more on the line for IU than meets the eye.

Of course, an upset over College Football Playoff lock Indiana would send shockwaves through the nation, potentially derailing their run at a national title.

However, it may also have huge future implications as well... The Hoosiers are set to host a huge recruiting weekend, as the Badgers have an opportunity to play spoiler in more ways than one.

After defeating the then-No. 23 Washington Huskies last week, Wisconsin has put every other team remaining on their schedule on upset alert. The Badgers had been on a six-game skid up until the surprising victory. They now head to Indiana with a bit of momentum.

While back-to-back upsets over ranked teams is not overly likely, Wisconsin did just win a game with a punter as the leading passer, so anything is possible...

As for Indiana, they will have much more than a W in the win column to play for as several top recruits take in the game from Bloomington to watch Curt Cignetti's team take on Luke Fickell and the guys.

Wisconsin Badgers look to ruin Indiana Hoosiers' day on, and off, the field

The Hoosiers will host a plethora of recruits in what On3's Steve Wiltfong called their biggest recruiting weekend in Indiana history.

On hand will be several four-star prospects, as well as in-state five star receiver Monshun Sales.

Wisconsin is currently a 29.5-point underdog to Indiana, so it seems that skeptics are not buying into the hype, despite a top-25 win last week. There is also a real possibility the Badgers roll out true freshman Carter Smith to start against the Hoosiers, so a defensive battle might in store once again.

One thing is for certain, though. Indiana will be looking to put on a show for potential future players.
