Former Badgers were all over the NFL headlines in week 2 of the season. The highlights were all over social media as many former Wisconsin players stole the show. Here are the best highlights from only former Badgers.
5. Jonathan Taylor shows off elite speed
Jonathan Taylor had an incredible day for the Indianapolis Colts and any fantasy owner who carries him on their team. He had 25 carries for 165 yards with an explosive 68-yard run that spoiler, is also on this list. He also caught two passes for 50 yards and a touchdown. One of the best catches of the day in terms of yards, he showed that he can reach over 22 miles per hour. Fast.
Jonathan Taylor reached a top speed of 22.38 mph on his 43-yard reception, the fastest speed by a ball carrier since Raheem Mostert in Week 2, 2020 (23.09 mph). #DENvsIND | #ForTheShoepic.twitter.com/rkCNlYhagG

4. Russell Wilson with a moon ball touchdown to Wan'Dale Robinson
Wilson is aging, and many New York Giants fans are calling for his benching in lieu of younger rookie Jaxson Dart. However, Wilson had 450 yards with three touchdowns. He still has the deep ball accuracy, and truly, it's one of the best in the league. Check out this touchdown pass to Wan'Dale Robinson:

3. Nick Herbig with his first NFL interception

Former Wisconsin linebacker Nick Herbig had a big interception in the game against the Seattle Seahawks. The Pittsburgh Steelers would ultimately lose that game, but it's not because of Herbig's effort and ability to focus up and bring down this interception.

2. Russell Wilson with a deep ball into a tight window
The placement of this touchdown ball to Malik Nabers to give the Giants the lead with seconds to go was amazing. The Giants would ultimately lose in overtime, but this was special from Wilson to Nabers.

1. Jonathan Taylor with the top NFL play of the week
This is a clip that you can't just watch once. This is a loss with most running backs, but not Jonathan Taylor. He makes an incredible jump cut, then dodges two tacklers, gets inside, only to bounce it back outside for a huge gain to set up an important Colts touchdown.
It's the former Badger play of the week and maybe of the season.
