The top high school recruit in the state of Wisconsin is Kingston Allen. A 4-star running back playing at Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He's also basically the last in-state recruit, at least among the top recruits, that has yet to verbally commit to play for the Badgers next season.

4-star tight end and current Badger commit Korz Loken is working to fix that. He's been one of Luke Fickell's most active recruiters, and he says that Allen is the player that Wisconsin is currently missing. It came on the back of a post by Nick Osen that said "Seven for seven #BADGERS." Loken is trying to make it eight of eight.

Allen may be close to joining his other top in-state recruits. Jon McNamara has posted a "crystal ball" for him to land at Wisconsin. He's also locked in an official visit on May 28th to Madison. However, Fickell and company are hoping he's long been in the fold by then.

Allen may be biding his time a little to see how his recruitment picks up. He was a bit of a late bloomer and jumped onto the scene after last season, when he ran for 3,436 yards and scored 57 touchdowns. He was unstoppable in so many ways, and Wisconsin and Northwestern were the first two schools to call him and give him an offer.

He's since added interest from Minnesota, North Dakota State, and Iowa. As he's still not quite getting the love from around the nation that other players of his caliber are, Allen may be considering waiting to see how that plays out. However, Wisconsin is working to keep him in-state, and his fellow in-state recruits are doing a lot of the work to make that a reality.
