The narrative around Wisconsin not having a single player drafted has been long explained and talked about. However, it's becoming more and more likely that the Badgers will have plenty of UDFAs that make teams. The latest projection of Vinny Anthony II is the next great example. USA Today just released its projected Atlanta Falcons depth chart, and Anthony is the starting kick returner.

That's not the only place you can find his name on the roster, and it wouldn't be worth holding a roster spot just for that ability. He's also listed as the next man off the bench for the wide receiver No. 2 position.

Anthony just wants to make the Atlanta Falcons roster, and Badger fans are rooting for that same reality. He deserves a chance, and most of his downplay at Wisconsin had more to do with his quarterback situation than anything else. An opportunity will go a long way.

Vinny Anthony II offers a ton of versatility for the Atlanta Falcons

He also has the versatility that a lot of other wide receivers drafted ahead of him and other UDFAs pulled around him don't have. He has not only experience as a kick returner and in kick coverage, but he also excels at it. An NFL team is always looking for players, especially at the bottom of the depth chart, who can offer versatility.

For Anthony, that's exactly what he brings to the table. He can be a wide receiver, kick and punt returner, and even play in kick coverage. There's no doubt that if he makes the roster for the Falcons, this will be exactly every hat he will wear.

The journey isn't over yet for Anthony; he has a lot to still prove, but the early impressions from the rookie mini-camp were strong. Here's what USA Today said about his role on the projected depth chart: "UDFA Vinny Anthony II is our projected starting kick return man. Obviously, it's extremely early, but these are battles to watch throughout the team's training camp."

That's the next step for Anthony: training camp in the summer, and from there, proving he has the stuff in the NFL preseason. While the road is still ahead and nothing has been determined yet, the projected depth chart is a great sign for anyone rooting for Anthony and his NFL dream.
