The USC Trojans have been without their 5-star recruit Alijah Arenas for the entire season. He's been recovering from an injury, but over the weekend, they updated his status to "probable" vs. Northwestern on Wednesday. This almost certainly means he will be cleared completely for Sunday against Wisconsin. The Badgers will be going up against a healthier and more talented Trojan team than USC has been at any point this season.

USC isn't bad either, they are13-4 and are a NET 50 team, which means for the Badgers, this is a quad-2 matchup at home. The Trojans have been without Arenas, though, and that may change the outlook of their season.

Arenas is the son of Gilbert Arenas, a famous former NBA star, and Alijah is becoming a star in his own right. He was one of the top recruits in the nation in his recruiting class, but then a serious car crash almost changed all that. He went from not sure if he could recover and play hoops again, to working through it all, to now on the verge of being ready to suit up and help his team.

This is important news for the Trojans, but tough news for the rest of the conference, as USC won't be a team to overlook. If they were already a potential upset bid team, Arenas changes that landscape to a program that now may be one of the teams to watch in the Big Ten.

Wisconsin takes on USC on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 3 pm. The game will only be available to stream on Peacock. However, before that game, the Badgers will take on the Penn State Nittany Lions on Jan. 22 at 6 pm. This game is away, while the USC game is at home.
