The bye week is officially over and it's time to get back to work for the Wisconsin Badgers football team. Unfortunately for Luke Fickell and Co., the No. 1 Oregon Ducks are next up on the schedule. Dan Lanning's team has been unreal in 2024.

The Ducks are 10-0 on the season. They improved to 10-0 following a dominant win in Eugene over the weekend against Maryland. As you might have been able to guess, quarterback Dillon Gabriel put on a show in that one.

So, other than a miracle, what's needed for Wisconsin to pull off the biggest upset of the season? It's going to be quite tough and people in Las Vegas aren't giving the Badgers much of a shot. The lines are out and Oregon is a 14.5-point road favorite for this showdown in Madison.

The Wisconsin Badgers are massive home underdogs against No. 1 Oregon

That spread tells us everything we need to know about how great Oregon is, and how poor Wisconsin has been this year. Camp Randall Stadium is going to be packed for this one, but the fact of the matter is that Wisconsin is facing a huge uphill climb for this contest.

There isn't much optimism surrounding the offense, as quarterback Braedyn Locke has tossed an interception in six consecutive games. His two picks against Iowa in the 42-10 loss to the Hawkeyes were a total disappointment. Don't talk to us about his pick-six against Penn State either.

Defensively, Iowa rushed for 329 yards against Wisconsin. In their loss to UCLA, the Hawkeyes were held to 80 rushing yards. That's a terrible look for Fickell and defensive coordinator Mike Tressel. Soon enough, the Badgers will get back on the practice field and do everything possible to try and come up with the perfect plan to take down Oregon at home. Unfortunately, not many people think they have even a glimmer of hope in getting that job done.
