The basketball season is officially over, as the Florida Gators defeated the Houston Cougars to be crowned the 2025 National Champions. Now, the offseason officially begins, even if it feels like it has already started with the opening of the transfer portal. The Badgers even had three new transfers before the season officially ended. Next season is shaping up already in terms of what the starting lineup will be and how things will look for the Badgers.

The season ending also brings all the "Way Too Early Top 25" lists. Like the name of the list, it's truly way too early to know, but fascinating nonetheless to see where pundits place Wisconsin.

ESPN's Way Too Early Top 25 - No. 14

The Wisconsin Badgers are found all the way up at No. 14 in the ESPN list. They find themselves just after Iowa State and ahead of the Kansas Jayhawks. Here's what ESPN said about the Badgers: "Wisconsin found success this past season playing at a much faster tempo than previous teams under Greg Gard. The Badgers were also more reliant on the 3-point shot. Is that their new formula? Gard has already succeeded in the transfer portal in a big way, landing three potential starters."

On3.com's Way Too Early Top 25 - No. 20

The Badgers are a bit further down the list on the On3.com's Way Too Early ranking. They come in at No. 20 with Big Ten teams right before (Illinois) and right after them (UCLA). On3.com did a lot less commentary for the teams after the top 10. They only list the returning players, transfer players, and key departures.

Jon Fanta's Way Too Early Top 25 - NR

Wisconsin fell all the way out of Jon Fanta's list. Which his comments have plenty of Wisconsin fans letting him know it too.

At the end of the day, the fact that these lists are all over the place, even between the three pundits, goes to show it's truly way too early to know.
