The Wisconsin Badgers are in the midst of probably their biggest recruiting weekend of the offseason. The Badgers have 15+ recruits on campus this weekend. A couple of them are already committed to Wisconsin, but most have yet to make their final selection. This weekend truly has a chance to catapult the Badgers into the heights of the 2026 recruiting class rankings. Plenty of the recruits on campus are 4-star-rated players, and many of the 3-stars are almost 4-stars.
The first of hopefully many recruits to commit this weekend (or from this weekend) is 3-star defensive lineman Arthur Scott. This is an impressive and important addition as Luke Fickell continues to prioritize the defensive line for the Badgers.
3-star DL Arthur Scott has committed to Luke Fickell and the Badgers
Arthur Scott is a 6'3", 290 lb defensive tackle who plays high school football in Streetsboro, Ohio. He held offers from Michigan State, Cincinnati, and Rutgers, among about a dozen other programs. He's strong and explosive along the line. He projects to be an impressive player at the college level as he develops into his full frame, learns from E.J. Whitlow, and progresses as an athlete.
There's a lot to like about this pickup, and it continues to show that coach Fickell puts his money where his mouth is. He has been saying since the season's end that they weren't physically good enough along the defensive line in the Big Ten. The biggest area of improvement he wanted to see (outside of changing offensive schemes) is getting bigger, stronger, and more physical upfront on the defensive side.
He has worked to add value in the trenches in the transfer portal and has been ultra-focused on it in the recruiting classes, with four defensive linemen coming in the 2025 class and already two in the 2026 class.
