Recruiting in the class of 2026 is really starting to heat up for Wisconsin, and today, the Wisconsin Badger head coach threw his name in the ring for the number-one wide receiver in the country. He is a top 5 player in the class and the number one wide receiver, and he will be a huge grab for any program that can secure him.

Wisconsin has offered No. 4 player / No. 1 wide receiver in the 2026 recruiting class, Tristen Keys.

Keys has offers from all over the country, but the current favorite right now is Tennessee but Alabama and Texas A&M are also recruiting him heavily. Does the Wisconsin offer provide any noise for adding him to the 2026 Badger recruiting class, or is it a lost cause? This remains to be seen if he adds a visit or begins to show some mutual interest in return.

It is Eric Reid's first reported offer sent to a recruit since his hiring at Wisconsin. Reid is the brand new wide receiver coach for the Badgers, and he steps into the role, going for the best player in his position group right off the bat. It could be an "it never hurts to try" situation, or it could truly be that he has a lane he's trying to take to secure this big-time recruit.

Wisconsin currently only has two players committed for the 2026 class, the highest being 3-star guard Benjamin Novak. The Badgers aren't known for landing 5-star players, and if somehow they did get Keys to commit, it would be the first time since 2021 that they've been able to get a 5-star and the sixth all-time (since star rankings were a thing). This would be a legendary coop from new wide receivers coach Reid and one that Badger fans would celebrate in a big way.
