Luke Fickell and Wisconsin have dipped into the portal again for a wide reciever from Hawaii, Dekel Crowdus who started his career at Kentucky. They have been looking for another veteran wide-out after getting Mark Hamper from Idaho in the winter portal but losing him again in the spring portal. There was a need for a replacement receiver, and they have found it with Crowdus.

Dekel Crowdus is transferring to Wisconsin to play for Luke Fickell
Dekel Crowdus, a native of Lexington Kentucky, played his first year of college football for his home university - The University of Kentucky. However, after a lackluster freshman campaign, only hauling in four total catches for 82 yards, he transferred to Hawaii to play for the Rainbow Warriors. His sophomore season went so much better for him, as he had 16 receptions for 402 yards and four touchdowns.
If you are quick at math, you've already figured out something incredible about Crowdus: his yards per catch average is insane. Really, at both stops. In Kentucky, his four catches for 82 yards is a whopping 20.5 average. He then jumped up to a 25.1 average at Hawaii. Crowdus averages a quarter of the football field every time he catches the ball. His long for Hawaii was 74 yards, but this is an impressive display of athleticism and speed.
He's a deep threat and someone who knows how to use his speed to get past cornerbacks, something that you have to imagine the new offensive coordinator, Jeff Grimes, is looking forward to using. He's not small either, at 5'11" and 170lbs. He can use his frame to make the contested catch. He needs to get tighter at his overall route running, but his ability to create distance makes him a threat every time he lines up on the line of scrimmage. He's a big addition for Wisconsin, and he will come up with packages to utilize his speed and deep ball ability.
