The Wisconsin Badgers have scheduled their exhibition game, which is a nice chance to see the team in action before it counts. The best exhibition games are those against high-quality opponents, as you can see the team not against some random D3 school but against a Power 4 team. Wisconsin made sure to schedule exactly that with the Oklahoma Sooners.
The good news for Wisconsin fans is that the Badgers will play host for this exhibition—well, sort of. The Sooners and the Badgers will face off in the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Friday, October 24, 2025.
Fiserv Forum will play host for the exhibition basketball game between Wisconsin and Oklahoma
In the press release sent out by the Badgers (which includes how to get tickets), Greg Gard is excited about the game, "This is a great opportunity for our program to take on a Power-Four team in our backyard in an exhibition setting. It will be a terrific first test for us in late October. We know we have a lot of Badger fans and alums in Milwaukee and we're excited for them to get an early look at our team."
There is a lot of newness with this year's team. At least three new starters are projected: Nick Boyd, who transferred from San Diego State, Andrew Rohde, who came from Virginia, and Austin Rapp, who came from Portland. The Badgers also added Braeden Carrington, who had a stop at Minnesota but most recently played at Tulsa.
Greg Gard also has a recruiting class of four players, including an international recruit (Aleksas Bieliauskas). There will be a whole lot of new, talented new, but still new players. The Badgers do project to have two returning starters. John Blackwell is coming back for another year in Wisconsin instead of staying in the NBA Draft to pair with big man Nolan Winter as the other returning starter.
