There's almost too much information happening right now in the Wisconsin Badgers sports world, even if you just narrow the focus to football. Wisconsin vs. Penn State Injury Report
The Big Ten is now requiring more consistent reporting throughout the week for injuries with designations as out, questionable, or probable. Wisconsin has 13 total players listed on the report, with four as probable and five as questionable, including Abu Sama III, Malachi Coleman, and Emerson Mandell. There are also four players listed as OUT: Cai Bates, Jaylon Domingeaux, Michael Roeske, and Xavier Ukponu.
Penn State has a few more with 16 total players, but a whopping nine are already listed as out, including star wide receiver Koby Howard. This is a big blow for the Nittany Lions and one that Wisconsin would love to capitalize on.
Jalanie George: 5-star commitment update
George is close to making his decision after Wisconsin made a huge impression on him during a game-day visit recently. He's down to Wisconsin, Washington, Miami, and Auburn. There's some real juice behind Wisconsin and George, even if Washington is considered the favorite. You also can't rule out Auburn, which most recently had George on campus.
George is a big-time edge rusher from Arizona who plays at the same high school as 2027 commits Nathan Jones and Yahzeen Zion. Could Wisconsin steal one? Maybe; he liked what he saw from Sebastian Cheeks and the Wisconsin defense. October 1 is when he plans to make his decision. Read more about that here.
Former Badger TJ Watt is tearing up the NFL this season
Watt is off to an incredible start to the season; he was the defensive player of the week in Week 1 and then Week 2. He also exploded for the Pittsburgh Steelers defense. He already has 3.5 sacks through two games, an interception for a touchdown, and eight total tackles.
PFF has him graded as the top defensive edge player in the NFL through two weeks, at 91.3. The player right behind him? Nick Herbig, another former Badger who's off to a great start this season.
