Even though it's the offseason for all the major Wisconsin Badger sports, there is still a lot going on for current and former Badgers. This week's news round-up features a variety of different things happening for the Wisconsin Badgers. Let's start with a player who never quite made it in the NBA but is now at the very top of the Euro League.

Nigel Hayes wins the Euro League Final Four MVP after carrying his team to a championship

Former Badger Nigel Hayes-Davis won a championship in the Euro League and, in doing so, secured the Final Four MVP trophy for the best player in the final two games of the season. In the championship game, he had 23 points and nine rebounds to lead Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul to the trophy. He also had a hilarious way of shouting out Wisconsin in the post-game interview.

John Blackwell needs to decide soon on the NBA Draft

The second newsworthy event of last week is really more of a future news piece. It's about John Blackwell and when he will decide whether to stay in the NBA Draft or return to Wisconsin. What is the timeline for that? When does he have to make a decision? Find that here.

Robin Pingeton adds the last player to next year's roster in Dorja Zaja from Croatia

Finally, as we turn to the women's hoops side of things, new Wisconsin women's basketball head coach Robin Pingeton has added her last scholarship player to next year's roster. She picked up 6'3 center Dorja Zaja from Croatia. It was an important final piece to the puzzle, and many are already speculating that she will be in the starting lineup next season for the Badgers.

As the offseason continues, the news will continue to focus on former and future Badgers. Former Badgers will be in the professionals somewhere, signing contracts or being traded, and future ones will be in recruiting and transfers.
