The Wisconsin Badgers will face the Providence Friars in the first round of the Rady Children's Invitational in San Diego over Thanksgiving break. The four teams were announced back in April, but Wisconsin didn't know if it was going to face the defending National Champions, the Florida Gators, Providence, or TCU. It turns out it will be the Friars on November 27, 2025.

Wisconsin and Providence will compete in the Rady Children's Invitational and winner gets Florida or TCU

The Badgers will face the Providence Friars, while the Flordia Gators will face the TCU Horned Frogs. The winner of each game will play the other winner. The loser of each game will face off in the last-place game (or for marketing purposes, the third-place game).

The games will take place on the University of San Diego campus. The first two games will be on Thanksgiving, while the second two games will be on Black Friday. This will give fans a chance to watch elite-level basketball on break. Or, take it to the next level and join the Badgers in San Diego and enjoy 70-degree weather while Madison is freezing.

Tickets are still on sale at the Rady's Invitational website if you would like to go to San Diego over the break. You can purchase those tickets here. The tip times haven't been announced yet, but they should be coming shortly.

One of the cool features of this tournament is that it features one team from four of the top basketball conferences: the SEC, the Big Ten, the Big 12, and the Big East. There will definitely be some conference pride on the line, even if it's just a four-team field; you know fans will be talking about it after the fact.
