The Badgers play a very different brand of basketball from what they did even three or four years ago. And while tempo and other factors play a big part, one huge difference is that Wisconsin asks their big men to shoot the deep ball.

Gone are the Ethan Happ days, now Badger big men are launching three's at a clip that rivals any other team's guards. In fact, Badger bigs account for more threes than most every other program's big men.

Of players 6-foot-9 or taller, Wisconsin has some of the best shooting bigs in the nation. Check it out.

The Badger bigs are lighting it up from deep better than almost anyone in the country

The Wisconsin big men are three shots from deep per game, good for fifth in the country and second in the Big Ten to only Illinois. Austin Rapp leads the way with 38 threes, Nolan Winter has 27, and Aleksas Bieliauskas has 16 for the year.

Wisconsin has made it very clear that to play forward or center in Madison, you need to be able to stretch the floor and shoot it from three-point range. Last year, seven-footer Steven Crowl made 32 shots from deep at an impressive 41 percent clip. Now, Rapp, Winter and Bieliauskas are carrying the torch this year.

The Badgers are the number two three-point shooting team in the conference, and while Nick Boyd and John Blackwell account for a lot of the buckets, most everyone on the team can get buckets from downtown. While Rapp lost some of his footing in the lineup early on in the year, he's jumped back, and has been a crucial player for the Badgers over the last few games. He's scored in double-figures in three of his last four outings, and has shot a blistering 64 percent from deep over that stretch.
