Surprise, surprise, Wisconsin Badger fans. Another week and yet another ridiculous performance from 2027 running back commit Kingston Allen. After eclipsing 1,000 yards just three games into the year, Allen took another 15 carries for 229 yards and six touchdowns.

Not a typo, not a misinterpretation – Allen really had those totals stacked up through just two quarters of play. Now, it’s no secret that he has become accustomed to these video game performances, as after all, his preexisting merit speaks for itself.
With another dominant performance under the books, Allen was able to stack up another career milestone, eclipsing his 5,000th career rushing yard in just his 18th game. For those that don’t want to do the math, that stacks up to 277.8 rushing yards per game in one of the highest classes that Wisconsin high school sports has to offer.

This is his 18th game, per my count, as the starting running back for Notre Dame.
With all this said, the numbers are the numbers. At this point, everyone who wants to know how good Allen is knows how good Allen is. It’s just a matter of if or when the national recruiting services start to cue in on the same.
As of 247 Sports’ latest update on July 30, Allen is listed as the 150th-ranked player in the country and a four-star recruit. To most, that kind of billing is a dream come true and something nobody should take for granted. That is, if you aren’t Kingston Allen.

By now, his production has become so undeniable that the question of if he’s being overlooked has begun to circulate, which, given the circumstances at play, is more than warranted. There is currently not a single running back in the entire country producing to the level of Allen, and yet he isn’t being respected as such.
Now, of course, there is nuance to this conversation, as the majority of the guys at the top are both playing against and with some of the best high school teams in the country, making their production less scalable to that of Allen.
However, to think that Allen shouldn’t be rewarded immensely for the ridiculous production that he has sustained is just crazy. Badger fans already know, and hopefully, soon the rest of the world will know just how good Allen is.
