Wisconsin currently holds a commitment from one of the best running backs in high school football this season. Kingston Allen is a top player in the state of Wisconsin and has the potential to be a hometown hero. The problem is that Allen is no longer flying under the radar, and the big recruiting powers are starting to circle his name on their recruiting lists.

The 4-star running back has been committed to the Badgers since April, but now there's some real concern that he may be at least considering other options. Why? Well, he took a game-day visit to Ohio State today and also took a visit to Minnesota a couple of weeks ago. There's no doubt other programs are trying to flip him, but can they pull it off? How committed to Wisconsin is Allen?

Allen is tearing up the high school circuit right now. He's leading the nation in rushing; he's only 10 touchdowns away from a state record. Just yesterday, he broke a state record with seven straight games over 300+ yards rushing. It's been incredible, and Wisconsin fans have been watching with a ton of anticipation for restoring RBU and seeing him run as an in-state product.

Yet, since he's been on this tear, there's been some real concern that programs are going to swoop in and out pay the Badgers. Or convince Allen to come in a different direction. Most fans weren't overly concerned about the Minnesota Golden Gophers as the Badgers can compete financially with their border rival. However, Ohio State brings in some serious worry.

According to 24/7 Sports, Ohio State has yet to offer the 4-star running back from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Game-day visits don't always indicate an offer, and sometimes it's just testing the waters. But with this big of a high school season and other programs poking around, it really makes it seem that Allen could be put on flip watch.

Allen is a big part of Wisconsin's top-25 2027 recruiting class. He's currently listed as the No. 2 player in that class, with only 4-star safety Mekhi Williams from Florida at the top of the list. 24/7 has Allen as the top player in the state of Wisconsin, and the stats are backing it up.

Luke Fickell has to do what he can to keep Allen home and get him to remain committed to the Badgers. Not only to build a wall around the state and keep the best players home, but he truly looks like a back who can come in and create immediate impact and put up the next great Wisconsin running back career in Madison.
