Wisconsin fans have been talking a lot about uniforms this offseason, and the new Badger Connect writer Jesse Temple has stoked the fire even more. He posted on social media the other day asking about uniforms and the comments were full of examples of some of the best jerseys.
This is a list of some of our favorites, with five for each football and basketball. We may have missed some of the best, feel free to drop a line on our X account @BadgerOfHonorFS. We kept it mostly from the 1990s on as there were available photos to use from those eras.
5 Awesome Wisconsin Football Jerseys
1. The Classic Look
It's hard to get away from the retro look with a red top, white helmets with an oversized "W" logo and white pants that have red stripes running down the leg. It's a classic and it remains one of the best.
2. The 90s All-Whites
Such a clean look with the all whites: helmet, jersey, pants. It's also very crips with the horizontal stripes on the sleeves with the vertical stripes on the pants. This is a great one.
3. The Red Helmets
This one comes with some debate. There are plenty that don't love the red helmets and of course as a main uniform combo, it's a "no" but it's amazing as an alternate.
4. The 2000 Reeboks
These could purely be amazing because of how Ron Dayne made these things look. Like look at that picture above.
5. The Big Ten Championship - 2011
This was a bit of a modern play on the all-whites above. Adidas did a great job with the remake of these and kept the stripes but with the modern logo.

6. Made For March - 2014 Big Ten Tournament
Wisconsin across the chest in the classic font but the cool tappered speckled shorts looked really cool.
7. The Early 90s All Reds
This one may be one of the best of all time. The all-red basketball uniforms with the "W" on the shorts but just outlined. Clean. Also the stripes around the edges of both the jerseys and the shorts, is so speculator.
8. Anytime Bucky Badger is on the shorts
The Bucky Badger logo needs to be on more uniforms especially in football but basketball has a few combos that look so great with the mascot on the shorts.
9. The 2025 Version of Bucky on the Shorts
Which the 2025 version may be the best because Bucky is rocking the red sweater in the logo.
10. UW on the chest with Bucky and a W on the shorts
Can't forget these classics. The "UW" on the chest, the strong font for the numbers and once again the Bucky Badger on the shorts, this time in front of the W logo. So nice, so fresh.
