The Wisconsin Badgers do not play football today, and Wisconsin fans are rejoicing. It seems strange not to want to watch your favorite team play football, but that shows how far the Badgers have fallen. The fans are eager not to feel the pain of another disappointing loss this Saturday.

One of the most viral trends on Wisconsin social media on Saturday morning was fans posting about how happy they were knowing Wisconsin couldn't lose today. Or another variation was "I can't be hurt today."

Fans knew this week was going to be a hard year, with the toughest schedule in the Big Ten and arguably the hardest in the nation. However, Maryland was a game that many fans circled as a winnable Big Ten game. The Badgers needed to beat the Terrapins to have a chance at a bowl or even a respectable season amid the hard season.

That didn't happen. Instead, the Terrapins looked light-years better, and the Badgers looked lost. Chants to fire Luke Fickell and the fallout have been the theme all week. Fans are happy for the week off to not have to deal with all that nonsense again this week. Especially, as the schedule has only gotten harder.

The Badgers now head to Michigan next week to take on the No. 19-ranked Wolverines. If the Badgers can't beat Maryland at home, fans are feeling pretty defeated about the odds of winning over Michigan on the road.

For this week, Badger fans can kick back, enjoy a day watching amazing college football games, and not have to worry about the pain of a Badger program that is a dumpster fire.
