The Wisconsin Badgers have easily one of the toughest football schedules in the country, but you wouldn't know it this week. The Badgers are now playing the absolute worst team in the FBS, according to USA Today. Middle Tennessee is ranked 136 out of 136, replacing Kent State, which had been holding the spot. Kent State beat Merrimack, but Middle Tennessee lost to Austin Peay.

This will be the only opportunity for the Badgers to have a cupcake opponent, and they need to use it wisely. There will be no excuses for a dud of a game; the injury at quarterback shouldn't matter, the shuffling of the offensive line, none of that. Wisconsin is better than Middle Tennessee in every single metric, and their backups would handle the Blue Raiders.

Wisconsin vs. Middle Tennessee should be a Badger blowout

According to the ESPN Predictor tool, the Wisconsin Badgers are projected to win with a whopping 97.3% accuracy, which is about as high as it can get. There is absolutely little doubt in the models that Wisconsin should not only win this game but do it in convincing fashion.

Vegas also gives huge odds favoring Wisconsin at 28.5. There's just not going to be room for Wisconsin not to walk away with a big win. This doesn't mean every drive has to be perfect or the defense can't let a field goal across, or something flukey happens. It is still football, so weird things can happen, and drives can stall, but when the lights turn off at Camp Randall, the score needs to be lopsided in favor of the Badgers.

There are a lot of reasons the Blue Raiders struggled against the FCS opponent last week, but the inability to stop an offense was the primary one. The Badgers need to come out swinging, as Danny O'Neil said, and never let off the gas.
