The Wisconsin Badgers aren't messing around on the recruiting trail, especially not in the wide receiver room. They have already pulled in a pretty impressive 2026 recruiting receiver class with Jayden Petit, Tayshon Bardo, and Zion Legree. However, wide receivers coach Jordan Reid is already working on landing one of the top pass catchers in the 2027 class, Monshun Sales.

Luke Fickell and Jordan Reid are making a big push for 5-star Monshun Sales
Monshun Sales is a 5-star wide receiver in the 2027 class and is listed by 24/7 Sports as the second-best wide receiver in his recruiting class. He's got offers from all over the country, and the biggest names are calling on him—schools like Alabama, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee, Penn State, and many more.
He posted on social media that there are a few programs that are showing him a ton of "big-time love" and that his top 10 may need to come sooner than he anticipated. It was a former 24/7 recruiting insider, now an On3.com insider, Evan Flood, who posted that Wisconsin is one of those schools.
The big question is, could the Badgers land a 5-star wide receiver? Wisconsin is not known for being a pass-catching school. In fact, there are only two players who have ever caught more than 3,000 yards at Wisconsin. And the Badgers have never had a 30-touchdown pass-catcher. However, things seem to be changing in that department.
There have now been two consecutive recruiting classes in which the Badgers have landed exciting prospects at the position. Eugen Hilton Jr. in the 2025 recruiting class, the son of the former NFL star by the same name. In 2026, the three listed above highlighted by 4-star Jayden Petit. If somehow 2027 has Sales in that class, it would be the highest-rated recruit ever at that position.
There's still a long way to go but it's something Wisconsin Badgers fans will want to keep an eye on.
