Wisconsin legend T.J. Watt has Kliff Kingsbury in rough shape ahead of Week 10
For Wisconsin Badgers football fans, the 2024 campaign may not be going well, but goodness, it's great to see former playmakers put on a show in the NFL. Such is the case with T.J. Watt, as he's once again looking like one of the best defensive players in the league.
Watt is a total monster on the gridiron and he's consistently giving opposing offensive coordinators issues. Just ask Kliff Kingsbury about that. Kingsbury is now the OC for the Washington Commanders and he's trying to plan for how he can help his unit out despite Watt being lined up on the other side.
Watt plays with passion that is tough to match, and it's nearly an impossible task for opposing offensive linemen to slow him down. This is something Kingsbury knows all too well, and prepping for him is keeping him up at night. Hey, we don't blame him.
Kliff Kingsbury knows how dominant T.J. Watt is for the Steelers
"He's the game-wrecker," Klingsbury said of Watt. "He's like on that level of certain guys around the league. The Aaron Donalds. I know he's retired but, where it's like, okay, going into that week, we've got to know where he is at on every play and if we leave one play where he is not accounted for and given extra attention, then that's the play that can change the game. He's that dominant of a player and he plays with that type of effort, so yeah, definitely one that keeps you up at night."
In the blink of an eye, Watt has the potential to change a game. Remember in primetime against the New York Giants when he forced a strip-sack on Daniel Jones? It was a game-changing play and helped seal the victory for the Steelers.
Kingsbury is all too familiar with Watt's game, which is why he's worried about what might happen when Pittsburgh and Washington face off. Wisconsin fans will be watching closely in hopes that he'll have another huge game. Sorry, Kliff, but Watt's going to be a force on Sunday and there's nothing you can do about it.
