This offseason will feature an incredible amount of change, and as the recruiting class came in, one player decided to head out. Kyan Berry-Johnson, a redshirt freshman wide receiver, has decided to move on to a new home. He's the first of many that will be looking for a new opportunity outside of Madison, as Luke Fickell also is aggressive in the portal, adding upgrades all over the roster.

Berry-Johnson did an amazing job with his letter, which he posted on social media. It was full of gratefulness and bittersweet feelings about moving on. However, after using his redshirt year last season and then barely playing this season, the writing was on the wall for him.

He was a 4-star wide receiver out of high school, according to Rivals, but he couldn't find the field for the Badgers. He played four games his true freshman year (preserving his redshirt), but this season, he didn't record a single stat, and according to ESPN, he only appeared in one game as a wide receiver against Oregon.

That's tough for a player who came in with all sorts of praise and hype around him. He will now be looking for an opportunity with three years left to play.

This won't be the only exit for Luke Fickell and the Badgers. It will be the first of many. Fickell has made it abundantly clear that he wants to upgrade the roster in the transfer portal. This is the reality of the situation, and it means that players will be leaving whether through graduation or moving on.

All the best to Kyan Berry-Johnson as he finds a new opportunity and makes a name for himself in college football.
