The Badgers are in the middle of a busy recruiting weekend, but Luke Fickell received some bad news about a visitor who was supposed to come next weekend. Tyler Graham decided to commit to the Duke Blue Devils on his first official visit to Durham. Graham is a 3-star offensive lineman who has basically narrowed his choices down to Duke and Wisconsin.
He even recently shared an optimistic quote about becoming a Badger. Manny Diaz, however, was able to lock Graham during his visit to Duke. There's still hope that he will take his Wisconsin visit, and he gets put on the list of players who Fickell is trying to flip, but Graham may instead close down his recruitment.

3-star OL Tyler Graham commits to Duke ahead of his visit to Wisconsin

Graham had over 20 offers and is one of the top offensive linemen in the state of Pennsylvania. His frame is often what excites colleges at 6'5 and 270 pounds. He is built like a player who could really develop into a 4-year blocker on the line.
Graham had only planned two visits, one to Duke and one to Wisconsin. He may now only take one of those two. Wisconsin offensive line coach Eric Mateos has a pretty good 2027 recruiting class already, but offensive linemen are players you really can't have too many of.
The Badgers have four OL already in the 2027 class, and all of them are stars from in-state. Cole Reiter, a 4-star tackle from Germantown, highlights the class, followed by the Mallinger twins (Hunter and Reece) from Sussex. Add in Chris McIntosh's son Ethan from Verona, and it's already a solid class.
So the loss is less about desperation and more about potential. Graham is a player Mateos looked at as a potential stud on the offensive line. Hopefully, Wisconsin works toward a flip, but if not, this weekend and the next few are still full of great high school players on visits.
