Wisconsin 4-star QB commit Ryan Hopkins got to show off his prowess on the national stage with Mater Dei. The prestigious football school was taking on one of the other top football high schools in St. Thomas Aquinas on ESPN. Hopkins dazzled under the lights in his Mater Dei debut, throwing for three touchdowns by halftime. Wisconsin fans couldn't get enough of his highlights.

Below are some of his most impressive highlights, as commented on by the Wisconsin faithful. You can see his pocket presence and accuracy downfield. It does help that he is throwing to 5-star Ohio State commit Chris Henry, who made some impressive plays.

Ryan Hopkins put up a stellar performance basically all in one quarter, the second. That was when Mater Dei scored 26 unanswered points, which would ultimately be the decisive final score of 26-23. Hopkins was electric while St. Thomas Aquinas was working hard to figure him out. In the first half of the game, Hopkins went 8-14 for 232 yards and three touchdowns.

There was also a running joke among the Wisconsin fans directed towards the Minnesota fanbase. Earlier in the offseason, a Gopher fan shared a graphic that had Gopher commit Furian Infeerera starting over Hopkins. Fans were quick to keep that joke alive as Hopkins shredded on national TV.

There is some concern over Hopkins balling out for Mater Dei, and that's that other teams will put the pressure on him to flip his commitment. He already has picked up a UCLA offer in the last couple of week,s and the more he puts up games like this, the more Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell will have to work hard to keep him.
