As it turns out, star Wisconsin running back Tawee Walker is going to be one and done playing for the Badgers. In a bit of a surprise, Walker, who could have returned for one more season in Madison in 2025, decided that he's going to enter the transfer portal.

Originally, Walker signed with Oklahoma out of the JUCO ranks, spending two years in Norman with the Sooners. He then joined Wisconsin in 2024 and was the featured RB for Luke Fickell and former offensive coordinator Phil Longo.

Now that he's in the portal, Walker is hoping to find a new home sooner rather than later. He's also doing his part to make sure staffs from other schools aren't worried about his health. The speedster took to social media to let everyone know his knee is doing just fine after suffering an early-season scare with Wisconsin:

It looks like a bum knee was giving Walker some issues to start the season, but he powered through and didn't have any setbacks the rest of the way. Walker appeared in 11 games for the Badgers in '24, being a stud with the ball in his hands for most of the year.

While he didn't have much success against the tougher opponents on Wisconsin's schedule, that didn't stop him from rushing for 864 yards and 10 touchdowns. He's already starting to receive plenty of interest from other schools too.

As for the Badgers in '25, the starting running back job is up for grabs, but Darrion Dupree is surely the early favorite to grab the spot. Dupree and Dilin Jones were four-star signees from the '24 class and their potential is sky-high.

Dupree was the No. 2 RB for the Badgers behind Walker, rushing for 317 yards and a touchdown in his first year with the program. His carries and workload will skyrocket once next fall gets here.
