Wisconsin fans noticed some posted times from a local track meet in California. One name, Donovan Dunmore, popped off the page. Dunmore is a 3-star defensive back commit in the 2026 class. He is also insanely fast. His latest time even broke some sectional records and was his own personal best.
Dunmore posted a 100m sprint speed of 10.29 in his sectional meet, breaking the record in that section and allowing Dunmore to move on to the next division finals. This is a blazing-fast time and has many heads turning, but none more than Wisconsin fans.

This is really fast at the high school level, but it's also fast in college. As that translates roughly to like a 4.3 40 time. With a little college weight training and work, his speed may only continue to trend faster and faster. In fact, this time was a lot faster than his previous clocked speed of 10.50.
This recruiting class doesn't have as much anticipation as the 2027 recruiting class, but there are clearly some impressive athletes in it. Especially when you consider that a Wisconsin commit is breaking high school track sprint speed records. Dunmore is a fast recruit, but that's not all he brings to the table, as he's also considered one of the better defensive backs in terms of coverage, too. As a junior, he totaled 58 tackles and 5 interceptions, with one being a pick-six.
Dunmore has yet to fully enroll as he finishes his senior year as a track star, but now that it's concluding, he will be part of the summer planning when practices can resume. Dunmore will add to a deep and experienced defensive back room.
