Wisconsin has landed arguably the most important commitment for the 2027 class, 4-star offensive tackle Cole Reiter. Luke Fickell's ability to retain the best offensive lineman in the state of Wisconsin may signal that the offensive line factory that made Wisconsin great is being rebuilt. It's not just about having the best linemen; it's about taking the best linemen from the state and turning them into run-blocking, pass-protecting monsters.

Cole Reiter may fit this bill to a T. It truly looks like he was built in an offensive line factory at 6'7 and 315 pounds. He's big, strong, and nasty. Now he's a Badger.

Reiter has been courted by the Badgers for a long time, and he's been on campus multiple times over the last couple of years. Mostly unofficial visits, taking in hockey games, or what have you. Yet, he hadn't pulled the trigger on committing, and Wisconsin fans were worried about the sharks circling. Reiter has a ton of other offers, including from big programs.

With 17 total offers according to 24/7 from programs like Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Ohio State, Missouri, Auburn, Indiana, and the list goes on and on. Fickell was able to keep him in the state at the end of the day, and that's huge news.

In fact, that's been a consistent theme in the 2027 recruitment cycle for Wisconsin and Luke Fickell. He's now added five commitments to the class, and every single one of them is from the state. Not only are they in-state players, but they are also the best in-state players.

Wisconsin now has commitments from the No. 1, 3, 6, 7, and 9 players in the state. With 2, 4, and 10 all Badger leans. Something has revived this recruiting cycle, and there's hope once again in the state, even if the results haven't yet followed on the field. Landing Reiter is a positive change of direction, and it's a big win for Fickell.
