Former Badger Tyler Wahl is off to a new international home after spending a year in Croatia and helping KK Zadar win the Croatian League Championship. He's now signing a new international contract with Panionios B.C. in Greece. Which, as far as international leagues go, is a step forward in his career.

Tyler Wahl is taking a new step in his professional career by going to a Greek league
The club announced the signing of Wahl on August 5th and is excited to have him as more depth to their roster. "Wahl will strengthen our team’s effort in the upcoming demanding season in the Stoiximan GBL and the BKT EuroCup."
He truly is a valuable addition to a team, as Wisconsin showcased well. He was affectionately called the Swiss army knife by Greg Gard when he played for the Badgers from 2019 to 2024. He could do it all and was willing to help the team in whatever effort was needed.
His career stats at Wisconsin show this to be a true statement with 8.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game over his career. His final three seasons at Wisconsin were his best, averaging over 10 points a game and around six rebounds a game.
In Croatia, he had a very similar statline to his time in Wisconsin. He finished in the two leagues that his Croatian team plays in with around 10 points and over five rebounds a game. He was an instrumental part of their Croatian League championship last season.
Wahl's signing with Panionios B.C. is a step forward in his career. The team is currently in the 3rd division of the Greek Basket League, due to financial difficulties a couple of seasons ago. It's still one of the better European basketball leagues. And similar to many leagues overseas, winning moves you up tiers, and that's what Panionios B.C. plans to do, and Wahl sees the opportunity there to do just that.
