On early signing day there was a lot to celebrate as the 2025 class put pen to paper, meanwhile though, the Badgers were losing a future star to the portal. Freshman receiver Trech Kekahuna has entered the portal with three years left of eligibility according to Pete Thamel.

It's a big loss for Wisconsin, who had hoped Kekahuna would feature in a major role in 2025. As a freshman, he finished with 25 catches for 339 yards and two touchdowns in a backup role. With slot receiver Will Pauling likely headed to the pros, Kekahuna was in line for a huge workload next season. He'll now do it for someone else.

The ninth Badger to enter the portal this week, Kekahuna's departure will leave a big production gap to fill for 2025. The firing of offensive coordinator Phil Longo likely played a factor, and now the Badgers will lose one of their most promising young players. Making matters worse, 2025 wide receiver Cameron Miller de-committed this week, leaving Wisconsin with just Eugene Hilton Jr. as their only receiver commit.

It's been a rough week so far for Wisconsin, who has already lost several starters to the portal and now will be without Kekahuna. Look for Wisconsin to be active in the portal themselves as they now try to rebuild for 2025.
