The Wisconsin Badgers didn't see any player drafted in the 2026 NFL Draft but did see a record 12 players signed as UDFA. Now, since that designation already comes with a "roster churn" and "likely to be cut" idea, it's important to keep an eye on all 12 of them. Some will make NFL rosters, others will not, but all will be tracked. Every team that has a Wisconsin Badger UDFA has already played this week, so here's the latest update.
1. Mason Reiger - Miami Dolphins
Reiger had a great start to the NFL Preseason with a sack in his first game, but somehow he got injured between week 1 and week 2. He was waived by the Dolphins with an injury designation and then, when he cleared waivers, received an injury settlement with Miami. He's free to find another squad, of course, depending on his injury.
2. Vinny Anthony II - Atlanta Falcons
Anthony had a great game, and his stock is soaring; it would be a surprise at this point if he didn't make the Falcons' team. He's catching passes and taking kick returns; he's an asset on the depth chart for Atlanta. He had four receptions for 43 yards and one kick return for 28 yards.
3. Austin Brown - Indianapolis Colts
The Colts got blasted in the preseason, and Brown got his first NFL preseason snaps but didn't record any stats in the game. His projection isn't looking great right now, unless he's really showing out in practice for Indianapolis.
4. Riley Mahlman - Atlanta Falcons
He's mixing in for the Falcons during the preseason, and he's looked solid, but is it good enough to secure a roster spot? He may be a strong practice squad candidate.
5. Lance Mason - Pittsburgh Steelers
Mason had an eventful week last week, getting cut from the Seahawks, being claimed by the Steelers, and then getting into a skirmish in training camp. The preseason game was less eventful versus the New York Jets; he only had one target, and he didn't secure it.
6. Darryl Peterson III - Los Angeles Rams
Peterson is showing a lot for the Rams, and he may end up earning a roster spot, as he had three tackles and a quarterback hit. His presence in the middle of the defensive line is looking solid.
7. Nyzier Fourqurean - Los Angeles Rams
If Peterson impressed, Fourqurean may have impressed even more; he had four tackles and a forced fumble. He even scored an incredible 89.9 PFF grade. That's big for a player who wasn't even allowed to play last season. He's proving he can play in the NFL.
8. Jay'viar Suggs - New Orleans Saints
Suggs played 38 snaps for the Saints but only recorded one tackle. It's hard to know how the Saints are grading him, as defensive linemen aren't always stuffing the stats.
9. Ricardo Hallman - Denver Broncos
Did not seem to appear in the Broncos vs. Packers game; PFF has him as recording zero snaps. This isn't great news for a guy who was the last UDFA to sign from the Badgers and maybe has the longest shot to make the team in Denver.
10. Ben Barten - New York Giants
The Giants started with Barten, then cut him. The New York Jets picked him up, only to also cut him. It was then the Giants who claimed him on waivers. What a wild journey for the former Badger. In the Giants vs. Miami Dolphins game, he literally only appeared in two snaps, but recorded a tackle in that time, so that's pretty impressive.
11. Parker Petersen - Carolina Panthers
Petersen is getting chances, but it seems as if it's going to be a long shot for the former Badger defensive lineman to make the Panthers' 53-man roster. He did record one tackle this week.
12. Jackson Acker - Waived by Buffalo
Acker currently doesn't have a team; he was waived by the Buffalo Bills. He did get a tryout with the Seattle Seahawks, but so far nothing has come of that.
