Uniform design is all about taste and style, and boy, do fans have different tastes and styles. The new unveiling of Wisconsin's throwback uniform has fans disagreeing whether they are great, lame, or somewhere in the middle. For a team that doesn't usually put out throwback uniforms, there was no way to avoid a stirring of the pot response.

The Wisconsin Badgers teased a reveal two days ago, and this morning, they did just that, designing the new football uniforms around the 1990 team. Which has its own set of problems with fan reactions because on one hand, that's the season The Don, Barry Alvarez, became the head coach. It's also a year in which the Badgers went 1-10.

Some fans are thrilled to embrace the Barry Alavrez era, and that was the start of something amazing. 1990 is a tribute to that. Others would rather skip that woeful year as Alvarez got his feet under him and claim that we don't need that "1-10" mojo on this team.

There are a lot of fans who call these uniforms amazing and are pumped to see them against Iowa on October 11, when the team will play in them for the first time.

Love them or hate them, it's nice to see Wisconsin finally embracing more alternate uniforms. The current uniform combinations were starting to feel stale to many fans.

Wisconsin also announced that you can buy many throwback apparel items that feature the jerseys, t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, etc. You can purchase those here, and yes, for those fans that hate Under Armour apparel, it's definitely still Under Armour, and until the Badgers are out of the current deal with the company, it won't change.
