Madison is bringing home one of the best outside hitters in Badger history, Mimi Colyer. She only got to be electric for one year, as a Badger, but boy, did she use that year well. She lit the court on fire, and Wisconsin fans fell in love with her game and her personality. She also fell in love right back with Badger fans and the city of Madison. Now she's returning after LOVB Madison announced her signing.

This is big news as LOVB continues to try to be the premier volleyball professional league. Colyer was the Outside Hitter of the Year and won a championship in the Major League Volleyball. Now, she's signing a contract with Madison to play in front of her favorite fans. She even left a message for LOVB Madison fans.

Colyer posted a video on the LOVB Madison social media with a message to fans, "You know how much I love playing in Madison, and I'm so excited to be in front of the best fans in the country again. See you soon!" Colyer talked a lot about how the best decision she ever made was to come to Wisconsin and play for Kelly Sheffield. She already had a decent career going as an Oregon Duck but chose to transfer and play a season for the Badgers, she fell in love and Wisconsin fell in love with her.

She's now returning, and she's not the only one. LOVB announced two other Wisconsin Badger signings for the roster next season. Lauren Carlini and Caroline Crawford. Both very recognizable names for Badger fans.

Carlini played for Wisconsin from 2013 to 2016 and was a four-time All-American. She also has served on Kelly Sheffield's staff as offensive analyst and strategy consultant while helping LOVB Madison get off the ground. She's returning to LOVB for another season.

Caroline Crawford is a new addition to LOVB Madison and only recently departed from the Badgers, where she graduated in 2024. She spent her first two years in college at the University of Kansas, transferred to Wisconsin, and became an All-American middle blocker for the Badgers. She, like Colyer, also spent last season in Major League Volleyball but is making the change over to LOVB.

These three will join former Badger outside hitter Temi Thomas-Ailara, who was also announced earlier this week as a roster addition to LOVB. If you want to watch some of the top stars from the previous eras of Wisconsin volleyball, getting to LOVB Madison for their matches is a must.

The season kicks off in January and goes through April.
