Wisconsin didn't have the greatest start to the season in the opener versus Denver. While the Badgers won, it wasn't impressive and may best be described as sloppy and clunky. Greg Gard called the game "not our standard." He's also admitted that the coaching staff is still figuring out the rotation and that these first games are going to help with that.
Wisconsin had a decent first half in which it looked like the Badgers grew stronger and stronger, but it was the second half where things seemingly fell apart for them. Wisconsin actually lost in the second half, 38-31. Gard called it the adversity this team needed.
Wisconsin now heads into game two against Delaware, looking for notable improvement and a 2-0 start to the season.
How to watch Wisconsin vs. Delaware in Game 2
- Date: Friday, November 6, 2026
- Time: 6:30 p.m. CT
- Venue: Kohl Center, Madison, Wisconsin
- How to Watch (TV): BIG+
- Streaming: BIG+
- Wisconsin record: 1-0 (0-0 Big Ten)
- Delaware record: 1-0 (0-0 Big Ten)
An astute Wisconsin fan will notice that once again the Badgers are on the streaming-only platform B1G+. It's a subscription-based app for TV, mobile, or online that makes it impossible to watch without that subscription. This is frustrating, as now it's the second game this season that appears only on B1G+.
The good news is that this is the last one that is only on the B1G+ and that the next game against Fairfield is on the regular Big Ten Network. There are other potential roadblocks for TV games in the future, but this is the last game on B1G+.
Wisconsin projected starting 5 and 9-man rotation
The first game featured a starting lineup of Owen Foxwell, Braeden Carrington, Eian Elmer, Victory Onuetu, and Nolan Winter. It was close to what was predicted, with the only change being Rapp in place of Onuetu. However, Gard likes what Onuetu brings to the table defensively and with the energy. The two of Rapp and Onuetu are very different players, and depending on the matchup, Gard may mix up who's getting the start.
Here's the projected starting 5 for Delaware:
Owen Foxwell
Braeden Carrington
Eian Elmer
Victory Onuetu
Nolan Winter
I doubt that Gard messes with the starting lineup from the first game, but we may see some more lineup combinations from those who come in off the bench.
Next 4 (9-man rotation):
Austin Rapp
Trey Autry
Hayden Jones
Zach Kinziger
Jack Janicki
Will Garlock is most likely still going to be out this game against Delaware as he makes his way back from injury. He will be a serious part of the rotation and lineup going forward, whenever he can return.
Wisconsin and Delaware series history
Wisconsin and Delaware have never played against each other. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs. Wisconsin has played a Delaware State back in 2006 at the South Padre Island Invitational, but that's a different school.
